I started writing poetry when I was a child, but I didn't know that it was poetry. To me it was just a way to put my thoughts and feelings on paper that happened to rhyme, and the parts that didn't rhyme still had movement and meaning. When I discovered the power of speaking out the poetry I'd written it changed everything.

Now as a spoken word poet, storyteller and writer, I create experiences with words that I hope make people feel the same way I do whenever I share what I've created -

I hope they feel seen, heard and understood.

I facilitate workshops for youth and adults where I teach storytelling and narrative, how to write poetry, spoken word performance and creative expression.
